Why become a member?

Becoming a member of the Committee for Maryborough is the first step in creating positive change for our community.

As advocates for local business, we will represent your interests to local and state government while keeping you informed on all new developments. All members have the ability to put their hand up for any sub-committee or initiative they want to be involved in, giving you the ability to take a hands-on approach to effecting positive change within our region.

Becoming a member is also a fantastic way to immerse yourself and your business within the local business community.

We hold networking events and gatherings (when safe to do so) and host a range of online discussions that you can become involved in to stay connected. We also do everything that we can to support our members and we will always assist in promoting your events and initiatives to the wider community and ‘getting the word out’.

Supporting C4M in Supporting Local Business and the Community.

Due to COVID-19, we implemented a 3 month ‘Free Support Membership’ to help support the local business community as we all took steps to remain viable.

That said, the contributions from our paid members is what keeps the Committee for Maryborough in the position to do what we do.

As such we are relaunching our paid membership options. Prior to moving forward on this, we reached out to a lot of local businesses to see how they were going given the current climate.

Whereas a lot of businesses have been thriving, those more effected by lockdown measures are still doing it tough. With this in mind, we are relaunching our paid membership options to any business able to support us. We are also keeping the Support Membership door open, so we can support the businesses that are still struggling.

Our Membership Options:

Local Hero – $1500, 12 month membership
Become a C4M Local Hero and help us support local business and the community.

Change Ambassador – $1000, 12 month membership
Become a celebrated member whilst supporting us in creating positive change.

Business & Community Membership – $250, 12 month membership
A membership designed to assist local business and community groups.

Associate Membership – $100, 12 month membership
An entry level option for members of the community.

Extended Support Membership – Free, until October 31
Continue on as a Support Membership until October 31

The Committee for Maryborough is a not for profit organisation and all board members are volunteers. All membership fees go back into our community initiatives, events and assists with our administrative costs.

Why the change of name?

For those of you who have been with us in previous years. Our top tier Gold Membership has been changed to Local Hero, as our Silver and Bronze Tiers have been merged to Change Ambassador. We feel the updated titles better reflect the support from local business in helping us do what we do: Create positive change, with the support of local heroes.
