As part of our mission to represent Maryborough and surrounds as a hub for tourism, we decided to ask a group of students at High View:
“What would a weekend in Maryborough and surrounds look like?”
We asked the students to come up with a concept poster which would show where they would stay, what they would eat and what they would do for fun.
We were absolutely blown away by their creativity and passion, as it has also given us a lot of food for thought moving forwards. Watch this space as we would definitely like to expand upon this idea in the future…
Each of the entry was voted on by our C4M panel, (At our Tuesday meeting) and we would like to announce the below winners:
1st place: Bonnie B
A beautiful design that shows a range of businesses and destinations. We love the slogan… we love the colour scheme… You nailed it!
Prize: $300
2nd place: Holly S
Bright and vibrant. Great use of graphics and photographs. We all agreed you would make an excellent graphic designer!
Prize: $200
A huge thank you to Edlyn Foods and Parkview Bakery for contributing the prize money.
We would also like to award a third (bonus) prize to Matilda for $100 – Provided by C4M Chair Windsor Main.
You were the only one to provide a hand drawn entry. Being a concept competition, this provided us with a completely unique perspective. Your drawings not only captured the unique architecture of our town… but the local swans. (Potential town mascot anyone?)
Thanks to all the student who got involved. Thank you to High View Students and Staff.
We invite people to check out the amazing work below!
